CERIPH aims to support effective health promotion and healthy public policy through fostering links with individuals and communities. CERIPH facilitates the exchange of health promotion knowledge and research practices through active dissemination strategies as well as through national and international networking.
The advocacy efforts of the CERIPH team have contributed to the development of numerous public health initiatives, especially in Western Australia. These initiatives relate to sexual health, harmful consumption of alcohol, physical activity, drink driving, drug use, traffic safety, bicycle helmets, 40 km/hour zones and tobacco control policies. Much of this advocacy is conducted in conjunction with community agencies and professional organisations.
