The issue: Odyssey aims to understand the causes and consequences of public health issues related to between-country population mobility and migration, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.

Project summary: The Odyssey Hub houses researchers from the Curtin School of Population Health, working in collaboration with researchers from other disciplines and international institutions to investigate issues relating to public health, population mobility and migration, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region. Our mission is to foster multidisciplinary, intersectoral and multi-level collaborations and capacity-building to:

Understand the causes and consequences of public health issues affecting mobile and migrant populations, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region, and

Develop and evaluate ethical and evidence-informed responses to improve health and socio-economic outcomes for mobile and migrant populations, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.

Relevance for practice/policy: We undertake social research, evaluation and intervention research to support ethical and evidence-informed responses to improve health and socio-economic outcomes related to population mobility and migration.
